Life in BLN Corporate

I believe the most exciting project was the General Maintenance and construction works in 2020. The project was challenging in many ways and despite the tight timeline, the project sprang to gain speed to the extent of reporting progress either a day ahead or behind the target. In hindsight, I don’t know how we completed on time. The owner was so pleased.

The mutual trust between the employer and employee – a seemingly insignificant virtue – has enabled our Engineers to constantly apply value engineering to problems, and winning subsequent projects for the company. I believe as we continue to build our mutual trust, BLN Corporate Int'l Limited will tread new waters, break new ground and always be the forerunner in the industry.

In BLN Corporate Int'l Limited, you need to grab hold of your own opportunities. Running any sort of project is tough, but running a construction project is even tougher. We are always faced with challenges in every possible way. However, it is also these challenges that present the opportunities for growth and development. The takeaway that is consistent in every project (and even in life) is the growth in our thought process that matures us as engineers, and as a person.

BLN Corporate Int'l Limited operates like a family. With the knowledge and experience gained here, I hope to pay it forward to all staffs and colleagues with what the company has given me – the feeling of working together as a family.

To me, safety has many opportunities and room for growth. I enjoy upgrading my skills through courses. It is a challenging job, and I hope my knowledge and experience can help to improve the health, safety and environment on site.

I also hope that BLN Corporate Int'l Limited will become one of the established companies in terms of safety standards – something which our safety team is working towards. We want to inculcate a safety-first culture and be the industry’s role model for a safe workplace. I hope to inspire everyone with our safety culture and be ingrained with our company’s slogan for safety – EVERY STEP THINK SAFETY.

I owe my experiences here to my ever-friendly colleagues and the family-like culture in BLN Corporate Int'l Limited for treating us as equals. BLN Corporate Int'l Limited taps on the strengths of her employees, and we grow together as a company.

Dealing with real-life problems on-site and resolving issues with various stakeholders while I learn on the job have been exhilarating for me thus far. I look forward to my contribution towards more of BLN Corporate’s state-of-the-art projects where we breakthrough by solving challenges through innovation, and digitalisation.
